All healing is good healing, however it happens

Assisting people through Creative therapy and Family & Systemic constellations.

hello!

My name is Nat Shillor.

When I was young, I loved to paint and draw, so when I struggled with my mental health it was natural that I ended up going to art therapy, out of all the choices out there. This was the making of me!

If you have landed here and are reading this, chances are that you want to heal too. So, if you want to explore creative therapy and family constellations, use this website and then get in touch with me.

Creating a space for you to...

Feel like you belong

because whether you feel it right now, or not, you do belong.

According to Maslow, belonging is a fundamental human need, and yet so many people struggle to find it – maybe you moved around a lot, or you might be from a different background than the culture you grew up in, or you just feel different from other people around you in some way. There is a positive link between belonging and our feeling of overall happiness. This is definitely a subject that we can work on creatively and using constellations, so that you can feel supported, connected and accepted the way you are.

Become in-touch with your feelings

and process why you're feeling this way.

It’s easy to get caught up with the hum drum of life and not give yourself time to feel or process things that are happening to you. Creativity gives you an outlet to explore those feelings safely through art, movement or other mediums. I can provide you with a safe, stable space for you to be able to look at your feelings and integrate difficult experiences so that you can begin to feel free and happy.

Heal from collective trauma

It can be intergenerational. Did you know? I found out the hard way!

Trauma has been a hot topic in psychology for a while and for good reason, personal trauma influences so much of our life experiences and our ability to be present and to feel. In my practice, I am not just trained in the personal aspects of trauma, but also the wider aspects of collective and ancestral trauma and how that impacts our thoughts, feelings and wellbeing. Constellation work is particularly well suited to uncovering and addressing systemic or ancestral patterns and dynamics so that you can gain insight and heal.

How are we different?

A trauma-informed approach

Trauma affects the ability to communicate, to feel, and to form relationships and it is the cause of so many issues for many people. I am trained in trauma informed constellations and I have also done a Trauma Support certificate. I take the impact of trauma into account on various levels during our work so that you can heal yourself, but also your context and environment.

Love for people, not just their brain

I have the expertise about the processes, tools and methods, but you have the expertise about yourself and your experiences. Together we can create a space for you to understand and process what is happening for you in a way that makes you feel safe and supported, whatever that looks like for you.

Working creatively

Creative work can tap into the subconscious and brings up parts of yourself and your experience that you may not be able to translate into words. Although we might use drawing, painting, movement or sound, for example, you don’t need to be good at any of those things. This is about the process and the aim is what insights you get, releasing feelings and dealing with your experiences.

Own experiences

I had art therapy and counselling from my teenage years onwards, so I know what it’s like to be vulnerable and trust someone with your deepest feelings in order to heal. I also have regular constellations with other facilitators, so I understand how it feels to go through the process and how sometimes it takes a while for the healing to integrate and really impact my life.

Hear from happy clients

“Nat has been both my expressive arts therapist as well as my family constellations facilitator. She is compassionate, centered, and truly gifted at what she does. Her attunement and ability to connect to others has proven time and time again in the results of her work. Her client-centered focus and trauma-informed skills are impressively developed. Working with Nat has supported my personal growth and much of my life has transformed in part because of the work I have done with Nat. Nat is a gift and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. Anyone who works with her can trust that they will be safely held with much love and respect.”

- Sara W

“It was my first online constellation and I found it actually extremely powerful, literally from the first five minutes. I believe you have this gift and talent to make people and your clients comfortable and safe to share something that maybe you were afraid to share with yourself, not even others. I don’t know how to explain it, I truly feel that it was miraculous, for me it was truly magical, I am grateful.”

- Irina L

“This was my first experience of family constellations so I was unsure what could be achieved with a single session. I brought up an old interpersonal issue which was still troubling to me and which I wanted some help in understanding and moving on from. Nat’s facilitation enabled me to explore the relationship dynamics and revisit challenging times in my life in a supportive environment where I felt safe and understood. I got what I wanted from the session in feeling lighter, freed from the ties of the past and with a new sense of understanding and acceptance. As the weeks go by after the session, I feel able to look at the world with a new perspective.”
